Levels
Open Level
This level is open to all levels of dancers - from complete beginners to those who have been dancing for years! The choreography is accessible to new dancers but detailed enough to give more experienced dancers a challenge. The material is presented at a more relaxed pace, and we focus on learning vintage jazz in a supportive atmosphere. Dancers are expected to practice at home, but we always spend time reviewing previous weeks’ material in class.

Styles
Chorus Line
Our Chorus Line routines are inspired by the early chorus lines of the 1920s - 1950s. These routines are focused on more traditionally feminine styling, both in the dance movement and in the costuming.
While the styling is traditionally “feminine,” our Chorus Line routines are open to all - regardless of personal gender expression.
Audition Level
Routines at this level require an audition in order to register. This level is best for dancers with a solid base in authentic jazz. It is more physically demanding and rhythmically challenging than Open Level. Material is presented at a faster pace, the choreography is more complex, and the tempos are challenging. Dancers are expected to rehearse on their own multiple times a week, and there are higher standards for memorization and quality of movement.

Jazz Troupe
Our Jazz Troupe routines (new in 2026!) are authentic jazz routines without a focus on any traditionally gendered styling. These routines include references to both feminine and masculine historic dancers. The costuming for these routines is left open-ended, allowing for a full range of personal gender expression.
